Kamikochi Gear Rental ("we", "us") rents alpine hiking equipment to customers ("you") for the period selected at booking. We do not rent footwear. Equipment is shipped to a Yamato office hold or PUDO locker near Matsumoto, or handed over in person in the Matsumoto / Azumino area.

You agree to use the equipment for its intended purpose, return all items by the agreed return date using the prepaid return label provided, and report any damage or loss promptly.

Full rental payment is charged in USD at the time of booking via Stripe. Your card details are stored by Stripe (PCI-compliant) and never on our servers; we retain only a payment-method token.

By completing your purchase you agree: Your card will be saved for potential extension or late-return charges. You will be notified by email before any additional charge is made. Cards are deleted after your gear is returned and confirmed.

Equipment not returned within 2 daysof the due date will incur an additional weekly rental charge to the card on file, with an email notification sent at the time of charge. If you need to extend, contact us before your due date and we'll arrange it.

Before shipment: cancel any time for a full refund.

After shipment: no refund. Because gear is dispatched ahead of your start date, cancellations are accepted up to the dispatch point (approximately 3 days before your rental start plus transit time).

This is a distance sale; under Japanese law mail-order purchases are not subject to cooling-off, and this return policy (no refund after shipment) is expressly disclosed here and at checkout, making it binding.

No deposit is collected. We photograph every item before shipment and on return. You are responsible for damage or loss caused by misuse or negligence and may be charged the replacement cost. Normal wear from proper use is expected and not charged.

This clause does not exclude our liability for injury or loss arising from a defect in the equipment we supply; such liability is covered by our product liability (PL) insurance, consistent with Article 8 of Japan's Consumer Contract Act.

Mountaineering and alpine hiking carry inherent risks, including severe weather, rockfall, falls, hypothermia, and wildlife encounters. You are solely responsible for your own safety, route choice, fitness, and decisions in the mountains.

Renting equipment from us does not make us a guide, guarantor of your safety, or party to your trip. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for accidents, injury, or loss occurring during your activity — except where caused by a defect in the equipment we supply (see Section 5).

予約時に全額前払い。

引渡時期

レンタル開始日の2〜3日前に発送 (営業所止め / PUDO)。

返品・キャンセル

発送前は全額返金、発送後は不可 (本規約 §4)。
